The Conference will take place at the Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa,  located in the village of Platanias, 15 km west of the Chania town. The village owns its name to the many plane trees scattered along the shore of the river Platanias.  Its beautiful long sandy beach and the offered amenities have been a touristic attraction for many years, the village evolving into one of the biggest tourist resorts in the island of Crete. Apart from numerous hotels and shops the village offers excellent facilities and a great variety of restaurants, cafes and bars by the sea, all within walking distance.
